The Legynds women’s basketball program continued its impressive start to the season at Session 2 of the Nike EYCL in Des Moines, Iowa, with strong performances across all age groups.
The 16U team remained undefeated on the season, improving to 10-0 after a dominant 5-0 weekend. Legynds is now one of just two teams that remain unbeaten in EYCL 16U play.
Their most commanding victory came in a 74-28 rout of VK Basketball, where they showcased suffocating defense and highly efficient offense.

The 16U squad was led by a pair of 2028 prospects playing up a level. Amara King, whose leadership and overall presence set the tone, and highly touted prospect Kalani Kindred, who delivered on both ends of the court.

The 15U team also went undefeated in the EYCL at 5-0 to improve to 9-1 for the year.
Their tournament began with one of the most lopsided wins you will ever see, a 92-4 defeat of Southwest Premier National. The rest of 15Us games were more closely contested, but they controlled the tempo in each matchup.
They ended the weekend with a hard-fought 55-54 win over Houston Hoops, leaving little doubt about their depth and chemistry.
The Legynds 14U team battled through a tough Jr. EYBL schedule, finishing 2-2 with a 55-24 win over Cy Fair to open the weekend and a 55-29 win over WBBP Pride to close it out. The group showed flashes of high-level basketball, particularly in their half-court sets and hustle on defense.
